Divineme: Knight's Odyssey
In a world devastated by humanity's greed, you are the Chosen Champion, selected by Aurelius to restore the world to its former glory. Traverse the Desolate Overworld, a dynamic, living entity that evolves with your choices. Two realms, the Celestial Realm, and the Demon Realm, vie for dominance, offering blessings or malevolent spells.
The current state of the game
The game was my last project during my Game Design diploma. The idea was to create a more complex Gameplay, story, and visuals.
The game has a combat system that includes Range, Close, and Magic combat, which is also visible on the different enemies. There is a “Boss” that is just a placeholder (it's a bigger version of an enemy).
Each enemy gives you a certain amount of coins you can later use in the store to get better equipment that will cause more damage, increase your resistance and speed, and other stats. You also increase your level, giving you more health and damage; when this happens, your health is restored to the maximum to make combat more interesting.
I managed to make 3 levels and 1 boss room. I designed all the level assets, but the characters are Minecraft characters that I rigged to the UE Skeleton to use animations I already owned.
The game is now on hold, but I have plans on going back to it, working more on the procedural systems, the game story.

My Contributions
Level Design
All the rooms used for the procedural dungeon generation, the main level, and the assets used for creating the levels were design and created by me.
Combat System
The combat system, including spells, range combat, and close combat. Also, the progression system and how levels and weapons affect the damage and the combat speed.
AI
The AI in the game and its corresponding balancing depending on the current level and the player skill.
Currency and Vendors
The game's economy revolves around killing NPCs and looting, allowing the player to become more powerful with each attempt.
Loot boxes
The looting system allows the player to have cool items, but the loot boxes help the player get better items.
