Nozomi - Workshop Game

About the game
Nozomi is a game that was developed for my Game Design diploma. My team and I decided to go for a 3D Game with 2D characters; we used PaperZD for the Unreal Engine. This was our first game for the program, and we only had 2 months to make the game.
Game description
As a veteran samurai turned traveling merchant, your mission is to deliver vital goods between towns to aid in the survival of the scattered communities. The game's unique narrative delves into the far-reaching consequences of war and explores the resilience of the human spirit.

My Contributions
Combat System
I have developed a fully functional combat system consisting of combos and various attacks, wherein the animation triggers the damage.
Level Design
Created a fully semi-procedural level generation, controlling the difficulty, environment effect, and length of each level; also used a procedural system for the cities to make them feel different.
Mission and dialog system
A fully functional mission dialog system to control the story of the game.
AI enemies
There are three enemies types; each has a different way of attacking, some characteristics, and ways to move. Animations trigger all their attacks so that the player can predict them. They use a Nav Mesh to move towards the player and a Vision cone to detect the player.
